Chattanooga Bench Warrant Search Online

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office maintains an open warrant database on their website. You can search by name, warrant number, or partial street address. The Fugitive Division handles warrant inquiries directly at 423-209-7296. Only warrants issued after January 1, 2008 are included in the online database. You also have the option to browse the full list of active warrants in alphabetical order.

The database updates every hour. But recent changes might not show right away. Some warrants listed may have been resolved already. The site warns that no one should try to arrest or detain any of the people listed. Only law enforcement can do that. Some people on the list may be armed and dangerous. If you spot someone on the list, call the HCSO Fugitive Bureau at 423-209-7296.

This is one of the better online warrant tools in Tennessee. Many counties do not offer anything this open. Chattanooga residents benefit from having direct access to check for bench warrants without needing to visit an office.

Enter a first name, last name, citation number, docket number, date of birth, or driver's license number. There is even an option to include similar-sounding names in case you are not sure about spelling. Morning court sessions start at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday through Friday. If you miss one of these sessions, the judge can issue a bench warrant right then.

Some important court rules in Chattanooga: anyone under 21 must appear in person for traffic violations. Minors under 18 need a parent or guardian with them. Resolving Chattanooga Bench Warrants

Do not ignore a bench warrant in Chattanooga. The Hamilton County Sheriff has a dedicated Fugitive Division that tracks people with outstanding warrants. Getting caught means jail time and possibly higher bail than if you had turned yourself in.
